About Pietro's

Pietro & Amelia Murdaca at Pietro’s, 1959

Imagine walking into Pietro’s Italian Restaurant in the late ‘50s, greeted by Pietro himself, sleeves rolled up and a warm smile on his face. His wife Amelia has your favorite table ready. The smell of marinara sauce that’s been simmering for hours, and the buzz of families enjoying pasta and conversation fills the room.

Pietro excuses himself, returning to the kitchen to oversee the making of fresh pizza dough. Nobody tosses a pizza like Pietro Murdaca. He grew up around good food, and there’s no place he would rather be than in the kitchen. Amelia loves to greet her guests, make them feel at home, and even remembers the names of children and their favorite flavors of ice cream.

This passion for great food and service is still felt today, nearly four decades after Amelia and Pietro Murdaca opened Pietro’s Italian Restaurant in 1957. Their dream was to create a family-style restaurant where friends and neighbors could enjoy the traditional recipes of their native Italy.

The food at Pietro’s is classic Italian. Rich flavors, hearty portions, and very affordable prices. The proud family tradition for serving good food lives on with favorites like hand-tossed pizza, homemade ravioli, authentic minestrone with homemade bread, and broiled chicken with angel hair pasta.

We hope you enjoy eating our food as much as we love serving it!
