(Lodi, CA) - Assemblyman Alan Nakanishi (R-Lodi) today announced that Pietro's Italian Restaurant in Lodi has been selected as the 10th Assembly District's Small Business of the Year.
Pietro's Italian Restaurant owner Jim Murdaca will be honored at a luncheon Tuesday in Sacramento. The "Salute to Small Business" will be hosted by the California Small Business Association at the Sacramento Sheraton Grand Hotel. Tuesday will mark the 6th Annual "Small Business Day" in California.
"Pietro's has been a fixture in Lodi for years," Nakanishi said. "Being a successful business about good products, good service, and being a good partner in the community."
In order to be eligible for this award, employers must meet specific federal guidelines, including that the company must be independently owned, and may not dominate its field of operation.
